Scrapbook, chiefly of clippings about the replica of a gargoyle erected at his home by Detroit stonecutter Hermann Henz; letters received from national and international newspapers readers who believed it to be a monument to the devil, including one from James B. Elliott; clippings and papers relating to Menz's unsuccessful campaign for alderman from Detroit's Tenth Ward; and (in pocket) a play, Vidication, by James Henry Greaves, inspired by the news story.
